Sale of Alcoholic goods.
Legal age restrictions for the sale of alcohol: It is against the
law to sell or indeed supply intoxicating substances to persons
under the age of 18 years old in the UK. We will not deliver
alcohol to anyone who is, or appears to be, under the age of 18. We
reserve the right not to accept an order, automatically confirmed or
otherwise.

Conditions of Web Site Use
Governing Law and Contract Formation.
No contract will subsist
between you and CityChampagnes.com for the sale by it to you of any
product unless and until CityChampagnes.com accepts your order by
e-mail confirming that it has dispatched your product. That
acceptance will be deemed complete and will be deemed for all
purposes to have been effectively communicated to you at the time
CityChampagnes.com sends the e-mail to you (whether or not you
receive that email).
For the avoidance of doubt, any such contract will be deemed to
have been concluded in the United Kingdom. Further, any such
contract will be interpreted, construed and enforced in all respects
in accordance with the laws of England, and you and
CityChampagnes.com irrevocably submit to the non-exclusive
jurisdiction of the English Courts.

Ordering.
For orders received Monday to Friday, we aim to ship all
items on the day of receipt of your order. The vast majority of
Champagne products displayed at the CityChampagnes.com Web site are
held in stock by us; we also keep a good stock of most wines and
mixed cases. Where they are not in stock we make every effort to
display this information before you place your order. We will send
you an email to confirm your order has been received; if you order
has NOT been accepted, for example if our Fraud Screening Team
consider it to be a potentially fraudulent transaction you will be
emailed within 24 hours of receipt of your order – this will
inevitably hold up the dispatch of your order. It is therefore
your responsibility to check that you have received your order
confirmation. At anytime, you can see the status of your order by
going to the Order Tracking area, or by emailing
orders@citychampagnes.com
with a request. Be sure to include your order reference number, if
you have it. Price and availability information displayed on the
CityChampagnes.com web site are subject to change without notice.
Shipments outside the European Union (EU) may be subject to local
import charges and taxes. Whilst we make every attempt to mitigate
against this, and will try to have any local taxes paid this end,
local customs may impose these additional charges which are beyond
our control, and you or the recipient may be liable for additional
taxes.

Discounts and Special Offers.
All discounts, special offers and promotions are subject to
availability, may be withdrawn or changed without notice, and may
not be used in conjunction with any other offers, except where
explicitly stated. If an item is subject to two available discounts,
CityChampagnes.com reserves the right to decide which will be
applied.
Corporate discounts will be applied to orders that qualify for
additional discount off products only, e.g. for ordering a certain
value of product, or for clients who have a set corporate spend that
entitles them to the additional corporate spend discounts (CSD) off
individual transactions. We reserve the right to withdraw a CSD
where appropriate (for example due to lack of use of the account
thereby reducing the total spend), and will notify the principal
Account holder not less than 90 days in advance of withdrawal of
such facility.

Our Returns Policy.
At CityChampagnes.com we
want you to be pleased with your purchase every time you shop with
us. Occasionally though, we know you may want to return items, so
our returns policy is outlined below.
For Champagne, wine and Whisky gifts:
If for any reason you are displeased with your purchase, you can
return it to us in its original condition, within 30 days, and we
will send you a full refund for the price you paid for the item.
For personalised items:
Where we have engaged in personalising an item or items, e.g.
crystal glasses or relabeling of bottles, we cannot accept any
returns as these items will be no longer re-saleable.

Cancelling an item:
Under the United Kingdom's Consumer Protection (Distance Selling)
Regulations 2000, you have the right to cancel the contract for the
purchase of any item* within seven working days of delivery. This
applies to all our standard, non branded gift items. However, we regret that we
cannot accept cancellations of personalised products as outlined
above.
To cancel this contract, please contact us with 7 days of receipt
of the item(s) at the addresses listed on this page.fill out the back of the
delivery slip that accompanies your items, giving the reason for the
return as "Contract Cancellation" and send it to us within 7 working
days of delivery. You should then return the relevant item within a
reasonable time quoting your name and the order number which appears
on the delivery slip. Please package the relevant item securely and
send it to us at the following address.

For your protection, we strongly recommend that you use a
recorded delivery service as you are liable for the safe return of
any goods that you send back to us.
Please note that you will be
responsible for the costs of returning the items to us unless we
delivered the item to you in error or the item is faulty. If we do
not receive the item back from you within a reasonable time, we may
arrange for collection of the item from your residence at your cost.

Refunds.
As soon as we receive notice of your cancellation of this order,
we will refund within 30 days of cancellation. Your refund will
include the purchase price for
that item (including any costs of outward carriage we may have
charged you) less, if relevant, any part of the costs of returning
the items to us not paid by you or the cost of collection incurred
by us. This returns policy does not affect your statutory rights.
CityChampagnes.com takes extraordinary care to ensure that every
order you place with us is delivered on time and in perfect
condition. Where a product is faulty or has been delivered in error
as a result of our processes, we will do our upmost to correct the
problem to your satisfaction wherever possible and following shall
apply:
Defective items:
Where a product is defective, please advise us in writing via
email to
support@citychampagnes.com within 24 hours of opening the bottle
or gift. For wines or Champagnes you MUST retain the left over
product for us to be able to verify that it is defective. For
further information please call the sales team on 0845 230 3773 who
will be able to explain how to return the bottle to us.
Delivery charges for errors or for defective items:
If you are returning an item because of an error on our part or
because it is defective, we will refund the delivery charges
incurred in sending the item to you and your costs in returning it
to us. Otherwise you will be responsible for those charges.
Returning an item by post:
To return an item, please contact our Sales Operators by e-mail
at
support@citychampagnes.com or by telephoning or faxing the
numbers set out below quoting your reference number. You will be
provided with a Returns Number which you must include when sending
back your order. This Returns Number is a requirement for all
returned orders - without it we cannot provide a refund! Enclose a
note giving the reason for the return, wrap the package securely and
send the package to the address below. In the case of a defective
product, please provide a full description of the fault and return
the defective item in its original box (if any), with any additional
products if necessary. Please then send the package to the address
at the bottom of this page.
To return an item in person:
If you prefer to deliver the item(s) back to us personally,
please call the sales team on 0845 230 3773 during office hours to
arrange your return.

Breakages claims.
CityChampagnes.com has taken extraordinary measures to ensure
that the wines you order arrive undamaged. In the majority of cases,
we will be aware of any damaged cases before they reach the delivery
address. In such an event CityChampagnes.com will arrange for a
replacement to be sent out as soon as our couriers notify us or if
you wish we will refund the cost of the wine returned. However, if
the goods do arrive damaged, the courier must be informed at the
time of delivery and CityChampagnes.com must be informed within 7
days of delivery to you.

Information sent to us by you via the website.
CityChampagnes.com cannot be held responsible for any late
deliveries where we have been given either incorrect or incomplete
delivery information or instructions. Whilst we will do our upmost
to ensure that we contact in you in time to resolve any potential
delivery queries, if we are unable to do so before the official cut
off for next day delivery services, we cannot take responsibility
for any late delivery or associated effects. Please see bottom of

Handling Complaints
If you have a complaint please write to help@citychampagnes.com
indicating the nature of the problem or call the sales team on 0845
230 3773 during office hours. We will endeavour to respond to all
complaints within 24 hours of receipt.
Limitation of Liability
We will not be liable for any indirect, special or consequential
damages or any loss of revenue or profits, loss of contracts, any
deletion, corruption, destruction or loss or removal of data, loss
of goodwill or loss of reputation or any financial loss caused by
late delivery of any goods or services as a result of errors or
problems caused by our couriers, or cancellation by us of an order
that we consider to be fraudulent.
